It is believed that these Houthi rebels hijacked a cargo ship coming from Turkey to India in the Red Sea near Yemen. The name of this ship is Galaxy Leader, on which Houthi rebels landed using a helicopter and hijacked it and took it to the border of Yemen.
These Houthi rebels thought that the Galaxy Leader cargo ship was related to Israel, which has waged a war against Hamas. Let us tell you that Houthi is supporting Hamas in the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas. The Houthis have announced that they will continue to target Israeli ships passing through the Red Sea.
Cargo ship belongs to British company
Meanwhile, the Israeli Army has issued a statement making it clear that the Galaxy Leader cargo ship has nothing to do with Israel. According to a report in Daily Mail, the flag of Bahamas is installed on Galaxy Leader. The owner of the ship is a British company and an Israeli company Abraham Ungar also has a stake in it, which has leased the ship to a Japanese company.
Now that it has become clear that this ship has nothing to do with Israel, the Houthi rebels have still not freed it. Israel has also issued a statement regarding this and said that this hijacking took place at the behest of Iran, which is a terrorist act and a direct violation of international laws.
