Wedding Season in India: The festive season in India has just passed and now the wedding season is going to start soon. It is estimated that more than 38 lakh marriages will take place this time in the wedding season running between 23 November and 15 December 2023.
Due to such a large number of marriages, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), a group of traders, has estimated that this time a business of about Rs 4.74 lakh crore is expected. Talking about last year, in the wedding season of November-December 2022, more than 32 lakh marriages took place across the country. During this period, business worth about Rs 3.75 lakh crore was done.
Traders expect bumper business this year
It is noteworthy that this year on the occasion of Diwali, traders across the country have made huge profits. After this, in the wedding season starting from November 23, traders are expecting that this year a total of more than 38 lakh marriages are going to take place in different parts of the country. In such a situation, tremendous growth can be seen in business in this wedding season and the total business is expected to be more than Rs 4.74 lakh crore.
More than 4 lakh marriages will take place in Delhi
CAT General Secretary Praveen Khandelwal has informed that more than 4 lakh marriages are expected to take place in the capital Delhi alone this wedding season. In such a situation, a total business of more than Rs 1.25 lakh crore is expected through this. Along with this, he also said that 1 lakh crore more business is expected in this wedding season as compared to last year. In such a situation, it is very good from the economic point of view.
