Shimla Center of Meteorological Department has released these figures. According to the data, 409 percent more rainfall than normal has been recorded in the five days of February. Sirmaur in Himachal has received maximum rainfall of 1341 percent. Kinnaur has received the least rainfall at 72 percent.
The Meteorological Department said that 11.4 mm rainfall from February 1 to 5 is considered normal, but five hundred times more rainfall has occurred during this period. In the state, 836 percent more rainfall was recorded than normal in Bilaspur, 179 in Chamba, 1325 in Hamirpur, 535 in Kangra, 789 in Kullu, 197 in Lahaul-Spiti, 1220 in Mandi, 821 in Shimla, 1139 in Solan and 651 percent in Una. Hui. Record breaking snowfall has also occurred in Manali and other areas. About four to five feet of snow has fallen in five days.
