According to a news from Cricbuzz, an official of Tamil Nadu Cricket Association said, “Ashwin wants to spend time on the field and the ODI match will be a good opportunity for him.” He recently visited the National Cricket Academy. Ashwin has returned to the Indian ODI team after a long time. He played his last ODI for Team India in January 2022 against South Africa. Ashwin has played 113 ODI matches for Team India. 151 wickets have been taken during this period. His best performance has been taking 4 wickets for 25 runs. Ashwin has taken 489 wickets in 94 ODI matches for India. He has taken 72 wickets in 65 T20 matches.
