Nawsad Siddique: ISF MLA Naushad Siddiqui attacked in Kolkata, man slapped him in a packed meeting

Indian Secular Front (ISF) MLA Naushad Siddiqui was attacked on Saturday in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. Naushad Siddiqui had reached the stage of hunger strike of employees demanding DA hike here. During this, a person reached the dais and started arguing with the MLA. Meanwhile, he slapped Naushad Siddiqui. Later, the Kolkata Police arrested the person who attacked.

Siddiqui was addressing the state government employees who were protesting demanding a hike in dearness allowance in Kolkata’s Maidan area. Siddiqui was finishing his speech when a person sitting on the dais suddenly stood up and started arguing with him. The person asked the ISF MLA what has he done for the minority community?

In response, Naushad Siddiqui said that he does nothing in particular for any community. After this the person slaps the MLA on the shoulder. The video of this incident has also surfaced. In which the person is seen killing the MLA. He also threatens by raising his finger.

The accused is a resident of Howrah

Regarding the incident of attack on ISF MLA, police officials said that the accused is a resident of Howrah district. He has been detained and Kolkata Police is questioning him. He said that it is being ascertained what was his motive behind the attack.

Let me tell you, Naushad Siddiqui is considered a critic of the Mamta Banerjee government of Bengal. Siddiqui was also arrested during a rally in Kolkata in January this year. However, he was later released on bail.
