Sri Lanka was limited to only 50 runs in this match.

For the first time since 2002 in ODI, Mohammad Siraj has become the first Indian fast bowler to take 5 wickets in the first 10 overs. Earlier, in the year 2003, Javagal Srinath had taken 4 wickets in the first 10 overs in the match against Sri Lanka, in the year 2013, Bhuvneshwar Kumar against Sri Lanka and in the year 2022, Jasprit Bumrah had taken 4 wickets in the first 10 overs in the match.
