Ayatollah Ali Khamenei On Israel Hamas War: Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei claimed on Sunday (November 19) that Israel has faced defeat in the war against Hamas and this is a fact. According to news agency AFP, during his speech at the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Aerospace Force Center in the capital Tehran, Khamenei said, “The defeat of the Zionist regime (Israel) in Gaza is a fact.”
“Advancing and entering hospitals or people’s homes is not a victory because victory means defeating the other side,” he said. Khamenei said his stated goal of destroying Hamas was achieved despite heavy bombardment of Gaza. Israel has failed to achieve. He said that this incompetence reflects the incompetence of America and Western countries which support Israel.
Iran supports Hamas
Iran supports Hamas economically and militarily. It had declared the October 7 Hamas attack a success but denied any direct involvement. Since the Islamic Revolution of 1979, Tehran has made support for the Palestinian cause the centerpiece of its foreign policy.
Ali Khamenei’s claim- Israel killed thousands of children
Khamenei said that Israel has killed thousands of children without any remorse and claimed that this was because Zionists consider themselves a superior race.
Khamenei urged Muslim countries that have formal relations with Israel to end those relations and also to stop trade. He said that some Islamic governments have not yet condemned (Israel’s action in Gaza), but this is not acceptable.
