ICC Announce player of the month nominee name for January Shamar Joseph Ollie Pope Josh Hazlewood

ICC Player Of The Month Nominee: The International Cricket Council, i.e. ICC, on Tuesday, 6 February, released the names of the players nominated for the Men’s Player of the Month Award for January. The three players who will see a battle for the Player of the Month award for the month of January include Australia’s fast bowler Josh Hazlewood, West Indies’ young fast bowler Shamar Joseph and England’s batsman Ollie Pope.

Shamar Joseph had broken Gaba’s pride
West Indies’ young fast bowler Shamar Joseph recently made his debut in the Test series against Australia. Shamar had wreaked havoc with the ball during Australia’s second innings in the second match of the Test series. Despite suffering a leg injury while batting, Shamar came on the field to bowl and by killing 7 Australian batsmen one after the other, gave West Indies a historic win by 8 runs at the Gabba in Brisbane. He broke Australia’s pride in Gabba with his brilliant bowling. Shamar took a total of 13 wickets in this 2-match test series. He was also given the Player of the Series award for his excellent performance.

Hazlewood made 14 kills last month
The month of January was also very good for Australia’s star fast bowler Josh Hazlewood. He dismissed 14 batsmen in the two-match Test series against West Indies this month. In this he also won 1 Pfeiffer.

Ollie Pope created a stir with the bat in India
England batsman Ollie Pope has also been nominated for Player of the Month. While playing in Hyderabad in the first match of the five-match Test series against India, he scored a brilliant 196 runs in the second innings. It was on the strength of his innings that England created history and defeated India by 28 runs in the first match.
