Cricket Gave Boost To Aviation Industry And Breaks Record

World Cup Final: The Cricket World Cup final did for the airlines what even Diwali could not do. The record of people traveling by air in a day has been broken. On Saturday, about 4.6 lakh people traveled by air across the country, which is the highest figure so far. This year also there was a jump in the number of passengers on Diwali. But, with India reaching the World Cup final, enthusiasm was seen among the people to reach Ahmedabad and a new record was created. During this period, airlines also earned a lot from increased fares.

Expensive rent during festivals had broken people’s hearts

The number of people traveling by air in a single day never reached 4 lakh during this festive season. Airlines were being held responsible for this. Due to increasing demand, he had increased the air fare significantly a month before Diwali. Due to such high fares, a large number of people switched to AC class tickets of the train. Due to this the airlines were left waiting. His long-ago bid to increase fares backfired. But, people also bought tickets worth Rs 20 to 40 thousand for the World Cup final.

Scindia-Adani congratulated

Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia wrote about this on social media that on November 18, the Indian aviation industry created history. On this day we transported 4,56,748 passengers from one place to another. On Saturday, Mumbai Airport also saw the highest number of passengers in a single day. Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani wrote on X that this is a historic opportunity for us. More than 1.61 lakh passengers arrived at Mumbai Airport in a single day.

The fare had been increased since September itself.

Airlines had started increasing the fare for advance booking from the last week of September. This move of the airlines to take advantage of the festive season starting from the third week of October backfired and they turned to the Railways. But, people returning from Diwali and Chhath Puja and cricket filled the airlines’ purse. People bought very expensive tickets. On Monday, tickets from Ahmedabad to Mumbai cost between Rs 18,000 to Rs 28,000. Also, the ticket from Ahmedabad to Delhi is between 10 to 20 thousand. However, this fare seems to be decreasing in future.
