How did Kiku Sharda get Comedy Nights with Kapil?
Kiku said, ‘When it started, I was not a part of the show initially. At the beginning of the show, his family included Upasana ji, Sumona, Sunil Grover and Ali Asgar. After 2-3 months of the show, he called me and said that Sunil is playing the role of Gutthi in the show, he is thin and tall in the show and I am round and chubby. That’s why they are planning to introduce me as a new character.
Kiku further said, ‘I knew Kapil a little, we had met and he liked me. He had seen FIR and my comedy show The Great India Comedy. We met well, but did not work together. When he called me for this, he said that Sunil is playing the role of Gutthi, so he wants to bring me as Palak, who will be Gutthi’s cousin sister in the show. Initially there was no certainty about Palak’s character whether it would last long or not. I started with a few episodes and then it became regular.
