India vs Sri Lanka Final: In the final match of 2023 Asia Cup, Mohammad Siraj gave a historic performance and led Team India to victory. After playing first, Sri Lanka had given a target of only 51 runs to Team India in the final match. The Indian team achieved this modest target in just 37 balls without losing any wicket. Shubhman Gill returned unbeaten after scoring 27 runs in 19 balls and Ishan Kishan returned unbeaten after scoring 23 runs in 18 balls. Gill hit 6 fours while Ishaan hit three fours.

Earlier, after winning the toss and opting to bat first, the Sri Lankan team was bundled out for 50 runs in just 15.2 overs. This is the lowest total of any opposition team against India. Mohammad Siraj took maximum 6 wickets for India. Apart from this, Hardik Pandya took three wickets and Jasprit Bumrah took one wicket.

In front of the lethal bowling of Indian fast bowlers, 9 Sri Lankan players could not reach double figures. Only Kusal Mendis (17) and Dushan Hemantha (13) could touch double figures.
